Lauren Heintz is a Florida-based singer/songwriter. Originally from Villa Park, Illinois, Lauren's folk slinging roots came as a result of frequent living-room jam sessions by her parents in her childhood home. Papa was a guitar player, and mama an accordion player. It was the guitar Lauren took to and still loves today, and it was the soulful music from such legends as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard & Hank Williams that first inspired her to become a songwriter. Later it would be the Beatles, later still, Jim Croce, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, the Eagles.

Lauren has been playing guitar, singing, and writing songs all her adult life. Her voice is uniquely deep, "like chocolate" says one friend. And her guitar work, whether it be her expressive fingerpicking or her hard-driving flat-picking, is skillful and melodically accentuated.

In 2012 Lauren released her introductory album, Feels Like a Miracle, a beautifully produced collection of original and optimistic songs about love, life, family, ghosts, gold-miners, and traveling. Her song, Bluer Skies, recently placed in the Top Ten at the Will McLean Song Writing Contest and a few years earlier placed between 4th-20th place (out of 240 entries) in a contest to replace the official state song of Florida.
